Alessandro Geminiani, DDS, MS
Dr. Alessandro Geminiani is a board-certified periodontist. A periodontist is a recognized specialty in the eyes of the ADA, dedicated to the care and treatment of the gums and bones that surround and support teeth. Among the areas covered by this specialty are gum disease treatment and the placement and maintenance of dental implants.
Dr. Geminiani received his Doctor of Dental Surgery summa cum laude from the University of Siena in Italy. He further honed his expertise with a Master of Science in Fixed Prosthodontics and Prosthetic Dental Materials, where he also graduated with high honors. He then completed a two-year residency focused on the replacement of missing teeth.
Continuing his dental education in the US, he received a Certificate in Advanced General Dentistry, a Certificate in Periodontology, and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation at the Eastman Dental School at the University of Rochester. He is also certified in oral and IV sedation.
Dr. Geminiani is a member of many scientific organizations. He not only studies advanced dental science but has helped to advance it by participating in several published clinical research projects investigating advanced treatment options for patients who have lost teeth due to gum disease or tooth decay. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.
His practice is focused on bone grafts, gum grafts, and periodontal surgery, including the placement of dental implants. His patient care philosophy emphasizes three core values: safety, integrity, and long-term success.
Dr. Geminiani enjoys spending time with his family, biking in the parks of Pittsford, NY, and training in martial arts when he is not practicing dentistry.
